Here’s a quick and easy way to release muscle tension. During this exercise you will be working with almost all the major muscle groups in your body.
- Foot curl your toes downward.
- Tighten your lower left leg, foot and calf muscle by pulling toes towards you.
- Squeeze thigh muscles while still tensing as in step 2.
- Repeat on other side of body.
- Clench your fists.
- Tighten entire right arm and your biceps by drawing your arm up towards your shoulder.
- Repeat on the other side of body.
- Pull your buttocks together.
- Tuck your stomach in.
- Take a deep breath to tighten chest.
- Raise your shoulders to your ears.
- Open your mouth wide enough to stretch the hinges of your jaw.
- Clench your eyelids tightly shut.
- Raise your eyebrows as far as you can.
