Here’s a quick and easy way to release muscle tension. During this exercise you will be working with almost all the major muscle groups in your body.

  1. Foot curl your toes downward.
  2. Tighten your lower left leg, foot and calf muscle by pulling toes towards you.
  3. Squeeze thigh muscles while still tensing as in step 2.
  4. Repeat on other side of body.
  5. Clench your fists.
  6. Tighten entire right arm and your biceps by drawing your arm up towards your shoulder.
  7. Repeat on the other side of body.
  8. Pull your buttocks together.
  9. Tuck your stomach in.
  10. Take a deep breath to tighten chest.
  11. Raise your shoulders to your ears.
  12. Open your mouth wide enough to stretch the hinges of your jaw.
  13. Clench your eyelids tightly shut.
  14. Raise your eyebrows as far as you can.
